1. Who we are

The Learning Curve ("TLC", "we", "us") is a STEM education provider based in Kuching, Sarawak, operating at L3 SL129 Galacity, Jalan Tun Jugah and L2 SL7 Saradise, Jalan Stutong, 93350 Kuching. This notice is issued under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA") and explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data submitted through this website.

2. What we collect

We collect personal data only when you choose to provide it:

• STEM Club registration — your name, role, school, district, and phone number.
• Class enquiries (parents) — your name, your child's age, course interest, and phone number. We ask for your child's age only to place them in the right class; we do not ask for your child's name or other identifying details through the enquiry form.
• Partnership enquiries — organisation name, objective, and an optional budget range.
• Member accounts — name, email, school details, and login credentials for teachers using the Member Portal.
• Photo submissions — photos from our events, optionally with the uploader's name and school.

3. Why we collect it

We use your data to respond to your enquiry, set up and support STEM Clubs, place students in suitable classes, administer competitions and events, publish event photo galleries, and contact you about the programmes you asked about. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without asking you first.

4. Photos of children

Our events involve school children, and photos submitted to our galleries may show participants under 18. We take this seriously:

• By submitting a photo, you confirm that you have the consent of every identifiable person in it — and, for anyone under 18, the consent of their parent or guardian.
• Every submitted photo is reviewed by our team before it appears publicly. We reject photos that are inappropriate or appear to lack consent.
• Parents and guardians may ask us to remove any photo of their child at any time by contacting admin@learning.com.my — we will take it down promptly, no questions asked.
• We do not publish children's full names alongside their photos unless a parent, guardian, or teacher has provided them for credit purposes.

5. WhatsApp enquiries

Our enquiry forms open WhatsApp with a pre-filled message — nothing is sent to us until you press send inside WhatsApp. Messages you send us on WhatsApp are also subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.

6. Disclosure

We share personal data only where needed to run our programmes — for example, competition entries shared with event judges and co-organisers, or school details shared with education authorities for grant applications — and where required by law. Our partners receive only what is necessary for the specific programme.

7. Retention and security

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, after which it is deleted. Data is stored on access-controlled systems, and member passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.

8. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, limit how we process it, or withdraw your consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@learning.com.my or +6082464576. We respond to all requests within 21 days.
